The National Weather Service in Boise has issued a High Wind Warning for 3/30/17.

According to the warning, the strongest winds will hit east of Boise and along the Idaho/Nevada border and they are expected to pick up sometime around 9am and continue through midnight Thursday night.

Winds are predicted to be west to northwest at 35-40 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.

Winds like this impact travel, especially for high profile vehicles. And driving on North/South roads can be particularly challenging due to cross winds.

Southern Idaho is no stranger to strong winds in the Spring but if you're new to the area, we recommend you pull in your lawn furniture, BBQ grills, and trampolines, and use extra caution if you have to drive on Thursday.
