Eastern Magic Valley, Idaho (KMVT-TV/KSVT-TV) The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a High Wind Warning for Lincoln, Minidoka, Cassia and Southeastern Blaine counties until 9 pm for strong gusty winds.

First winter storm system is moving across the state this afternoon and evening. This system will produce rain and damaging winds. Wind gusts could be between 55 to 65 mph across the Mini-Cassia region.

Main impact will be from blowing dust causing low to zero visibility along I-84 in Cassia county. Travelers in high profile vehicles need to be aware of the strong winds.

In Twin Falls, Jerome and bridges over the Snake River canyon are not affected by this warning. Winds in the western Magic Valley will be between 15 to 25 mph gusts near 30 mph.
