We've been trying to figure out Hotline Miami 2's release date for a while now, and Dennaton Games has finally answered the call.

We finally have a release date for Dennaton Games' highly anticipated sequel to Hotline Miami, which was not only critically acclaimed, but also highly rated across the board. Although Hotline Miami 2's development has encountered some hiccups along the way, such as Australia refusing to sell it due to the game's violence, it seems that Dennaton Games is finally ready to announce its official release. However, for the sake of suspense, let's just talk about the game some more.

Here's what Dennaton had to say about this upcoming, top-down murder spree:

"Follow the paths of several distinct factions -- each with their own questionable methods and uncertain motivations -- as unforeseen consequences intersect and reality once again slips back into a brilliant haze of neon and bloodshed."

Hotline Miami 2 will take place both before and after Hotline Miami, so that you can get both a back story and a continuation of the previous game all in one. Convenient, huh? You'll have to deal with multiple perspectives in this sequel, which include: the Pig Butcher, the Fans, the Detective, Jake, the Henchman, the Writer and the Soldier (which one of these doesn't belong?). The game is basically filled with lots of violence, lots of playable characters, and lots of neon colors that will transport you back to the '80s.

And now, for the big reveal: Hotline Miami 2 will be coming out for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and PC on March 10 (with cross-buy), which means that our "Wrong Number" teaser was correct. Also, as an added bonus, you can pre-order Hotline Miami 2 now and get 10 percent off Hotline Miami 2 and its Digital Special Edition.
