Burley, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) Sheriff Deputies in Cassia County had their hands full on Wednesday afternoon with a massive marijuana bust south of Burley. According to Cassia County Sheriff Jay Heward, on Wednesday morning the department conducted a fly–over of fields south of town. That's when a large crop of marijuana was spotted in a corn field. It’s not clear at this time how many plants were removed from the field, but its well into the hundreds.

Crews worked into the afternoon to remove the illegal plants. At this point very little information has been released about the bust. The Cassia County Sheriff's Office is expected to issue a statement early tomorrow morning.
