BOISE (KTVB) -- A Boise woman is facing felony charges after police say she embezzled money while working at a Boise bank.

Tracy Ann Widner, 49, was arrested at her home Wednesday evening.

Boise Police launched an investigation after bank employees told police Widner had created a fraudulent account and had used it to steal money over the course of several months. The theft was reported after the bank performed an internal audit.

Boise Police did not disclose how much money was stolen.

The Ada County Prosecutor's Office issued a warrant for Widner's arrest after investigators found evidence she had taken the money.

She was booked into the Ada County Jail and charged with felony grand theft. If convicted, Widner will face a minimum of one year in prison.

Widner is due to appear in court June 9.
