BOISE, Idaho (AP) — The Idaho Supreme Court has rejected a request for a waiver by Concordia University School of Law to allow its first graduating class of students to take the bar exam.

The Idaho Statesman reports in a story on Sunday that the court cited the school's lack of provisional accreditation from the American Bar Association. The decision means the 45 students won't be allowed to take the bar exam after finishing school next summer.

That would prevent them from practicing law. Law School Dean Cathy Silak says school officials will meet with their attorneys this week to review the court's decision and consider options. Silak says the American Bar Association is scheduled this week to consider the school's accreditation application. Three years of law school at Concordia costs about $51,000.
