Idaho Republican Party Head Responds to Elections

BOISE - Idaho Republican Party Chairman Steve Yates issued the following statement in response to Tuesday's Primary Election:

"I would like to congratulate all the candidates who ran successful campaigns and won yesterday's Primary Election. I would also like to thank those who were less successful - placing your name on a ballot is no easy task, but your willingness to serve is commendable.

 

With the season of competition among Republicans over, it is now time for us to unite behind our nominees. We believe in market forces and respect the decision Republican voters in Idaho made on who they want as their nominee for various offices. The Idaho Republican Party fully supports those who have won our nomination.

 

Last night's election shows that the Republican Party is strong and vibrant in Idaho and represents Idaho's values - a stark contrast to the Democrat Party. We look forward to carrying our nominees to victory in the General Election."
