MERIDIAN, Idaho (KLIX)- Idaho State Trooper placed on leave after DUI arrest Wednesday.

According to a statement released by Idaho State Police Major Clark Rollins was arrested Wednesday night for misdemeanor driving under the influence and misdemeanor unlawful transportation of an alcoholic beverage.

ISP says the arrest was made by the Meridian Police Department when Rollins was stopped for a traffic violation. Major Rollins has been put on administrative leave and is subject to an internal investigation. ISP says state troopers are expected to conduct themselves with the highest professional conduct on and off duty.
