TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) Idaho's Hispanic population continues to grow as the number or residents nears 300,000. According to recent data released by the Idaho Department of Labor and the U.S Census Bureau, the population statewide grew 3.3% from mid-2015 to 2016, or 6,600 people bringing the total population of Hispanics up to 297,740. Twin Falls County had a 5% growth in the same time period resulting in 632 people who moved in. Jerome County had only a .9% increase in population while Cassia County had a 1% increase. Most Hispanics live in Canyon County that boasts 53,017 followed by Ada County with Twin Falls coming in at 4th with 13,275 people. Idaho's total population is 1.68 million.
