BOISE, Idaho (KLIX) – Industry leaders are meeting today as part of the Governor’s Workforce Development Task Force meeting.

According to the Idaho State Department of Labor, those at today's meeting include representatives from the Idaho National Laboratory, Idaho Power, Empire Airlines, Micron Technology, Kochava, Chobani, Monsanto, Idaho Forest Group, Micro 100, Western States Equipment Co. and Western Construction each will deliver a short presentation followed by a short question-and-answer session. Gov. C. L. “Butch” Otter will address the task force.

Otter established the task force in January to find solutions for funding and delivering a skilled workforce for Idaho, according to ISDL. Members represent employers in health care, aerospace, food processing, natural resources, advanced manufacturing, energy and construction. Members also include legislators and educators.

The meeting, held in the East Conference Room on the first floor of the Joe R. Williams Building, 700 W. State St. in Boise, goes until 4 p.m. today.
