TWIN FALLS (KTVB) -- An inmate is suing after he says Twin Falls County Jail staff and sheriff's deputies ignored his knee injury and refused to provide medical care.

The Twin Falls Times-News reports that a complaint filed by the inmate's lawyer says officials ignored Jeffrey Andrew Bloss' repeated requests for medical care for more than a month. Meanwhile, the injury caused him severe pain and numbness.

Bloss has requested monetary damages from Twin Falls County Sheriff Tom Carter, several of his deputies and jail staff.

The complaint says the delay in treatment left him with permanent nerve damage, paralysis and muscle atrophy in his lower left leg.

Sheriff's spokeswoman Lori Stewart says the office cannot comment on the complaint.
