Is KISS a Sellout for Doing a Hello Kitty Cartoon?

KISS is no stranger to fame and fortune.  More of that is sure to come with their new "Hello Kitty" KISS cartoon!  But does this make them a sell out?

Here's the deal.  According to Ultimate Classic Rock:

Lock up your daughter’s TiVo! The hottest band in the world — Kiss — are teaming up with Hello Kitty for a new animated series on the Hub Network titled (what else?) ‘Kiss Hello Kitty’ — and no, we did not just make that up.
