Is the Wolf and Coyote Derby the Best Way to Control their Population? [POLL]

Is there a better way to control the wolf and coyote population in Idaho?

Facebook exploded over the weekend with many of you giving your strong opinions about the wolf and coyote derby that took place last weekend. Some of you condemned the hunting event, while some of you made it pretty clear why controlling the wolf and coyote population is so very important in this area.

As far as I understand it, if there are too many coyotes and wolves, then these predators kill off much of our livestock, which is a HUGE industry here in Idaho. So this derby is a way to control the population and protect Idaho's economy. Am I wrong?
