BOISE, Idaho (KTVB) -- Idaho State Police is seeking witnesses to a Sunday morning crash that claimed the life of a Garden City man. Prosecutors have said 23-year-old Winters Wareagle was driving on eastbound I-84 near the Port of Entry when he began having car trouble.

Wareagle stopped near the Port of Entry east of Boise and got out of his car. Police say Wareagle was lying on the pavement in the right lane when he was struck and run over by a car driven by 28-year-old Patrick Musgrove of Boise at about 4 a.m.

Prosecutors say Musgrove's blood-alcohol content was .148 when he hit the other man. Wareagle died at the scene. Musgrove has been charged with vehicular manslaughter. Investigators are urging anyone who witnessed the wreck or what led up to it to come forward and contact ISP at 208-846-7550.

Prosecutors acknowledged during Musgrove's first court appearance that Wareagle was in the road, but noted several cars and a tractor-trailer were able to successfully avoid him before Musgrove ran him over. It's unclear if the drivers of those vehicles have spoken with police.
