Jerome Adopts New Fireworks Ordinance

Jerome, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) The City of Jerome is taking an active approach this year to battle the use of dangerous fireworks within city limits.

Until now, the City of Jerome has had no type of ordinance regarding the use of illegal fireworks. This year the City Council adopted a new ordinance that will almost mirror the City of Twin Falls ordinance. This year, any type of firework that launches into the air and blows up is a big no–no.

The Jerome Police Department tells us if you are caught in possession of illegal firework, or caught lighting them off, you could see a fine of up to $100.
