JEROME, Idaho (KLIX) A police chase in Twin Falls, that ended with the suspect shooting himself, is under investigation by a multi-agency group lead by the Jerome County Sheriff's office.

According to information released by Sheriff Doug McFall the Twin Falls Police Department asked the Magic Valley Critical Incident Task Force to investigate the high speed pursuit. The chase involved Twin Falls Police, Twin Falls County Sheriff, and Kimberly Police. On Tuesday evening a pursuit began in Kimberly that lead police into Twin Falls. The suspect has been identified by Twin Falls County Coroner Gene Turley as Roger David Vulgamore, 24, of Buhl. The suspect vehicle, a faded colored four door sedan, was seen speeding through several neighborhoods with police close behind.

According to Twin Falls Police an officer successfully stopped the chase on Carriage Lane just south of Addison Avenue. When police approached the vehicle they found Vulgamore with a self inflicted gunshot wound. He was taken to St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls where he later died.

The Critical Incident Task Force is made up of the Jerome Sheriff's Office, Jerome Police Department, Rupert Police Department, Minidoka County Sheriff's Office and Idaho State Police.
