JEROME, Idaho (KLIX) A 39-year-old Jerome woman had to flown to a Boise hospital after being thrown from her pickup in a crash east of Jerome Monday afternoon. According to Idaho State Police, Natasha Southwick was headed west on State Highway 25 at around 6:46 p.m. in a newer Toyota Tacoma when Charles Mitani, age 61, driving a Ford Taurus, pulled out in front of her off of E 100 S after he had stopped at the stop sign. ISP says Southwick hit the back of Mitani's car causing her to loose control and rolled. Southwick was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the pickup; she was flown to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. Mitani was not injured in the crash. The highway was blocked for more than an hour. The crash is under investigation.
