Jarbidge, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) A group of over 200 Mormon pioneers are trekking their way across the Idaho desert this week. Every year LDS youth across the Magic Valley put on their straw hats and bonnets and relive what their ancestors experienced while crossing the plains. The youth and leaders form families and work together while pulling hand karts for four days.  For many, it is a great opportunity to make new friends and learn how to work as a team to accomplish a goal.

Gaining life skills while experiencing the trials of their ancestors. The group of local pioneers will be pulling their handcarts about 30 miles over the next couple of days.
