TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – Dozens of firefighters will participate in a pack test on Tuesday at the College of Southern Idaho.

Bureau of Land Management fire crews from Twin Falls, Burley and Shoshone will come together to complete this necessary job requirement, according to information provided by the BLM. The arduous pack test mandates firefighters walk three miles in less than 45 minutes while wearing a 45-pound vest.

The event will take place outside the college’s Aspen building. The Twin Falls District has 52 returning seasonal employees and 38 new hires.
