Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT- TV / KSVT- TV ) - Friday marked the 100th year anniversary since the 1915 Armenian Genocide. In an effort to honor the day in history, the Twin Falls Armenian community is gathered to commemorate those who were killed. On April 24, 1915, Turkish officials recruited and gathered leaders and clergy men of the Armenian community and executed them.

The executions marked the beginning of the deportations, the rapes, and other crimes against humanity. The commemoration took  place at the twin falls city park. A service was also held at the Orthodox  followed by a traditional Armenian dinner.
