Magic Valley Man Charged with Kidnapping

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - Deputies in Twin Falls have arrested 43 year old Shawn Nickel charging him with 1st degree Stalking and 2nd degree Kidnapping.

On Tuesday Morning authorities were sent to a home in the county where a woman said she was concerned about her 34 year old daughter. After eventually making contact with her, the woman said she felt Nickel was with her daughter after she was reluctant to speak and how she was acting on the phone.

Authorities determined that there was a no-contact order in place between Nickel and the female daughter. When authorities arrived, they were told by the daughter that Nickel had left the home.

She then told the deputies that when she woke up that morning Nickel had taken her phone and wouldn’t allow her to use the house phone. In court documents, she reportedly convinced Nickel to allow her to answer the phone. Later, a neighbor told authorities the person they were looking for was hiding in the back yard of his neighbor. That’s where deputies found the suspect where he was taken into custody.
