More than 2,200 entries were received from students across the state and parts of Oregon.

The competition is designed to bring energy education into the classroom and inspire students and families to think about their energy use. Entries in three categories were judged on content, creativity and originality.

Award presentations and gift cards will be given to the winners and their teachers over the next several weeks, according to the utility company.

Winning entries will be available for public display in their local communities through December and available at this Idaho Power web page.
