Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT- TV / KSVT- TV ) - The Idaho State Truck Driving Championships took place and three local faces took home some major awards. Two drivers from Arlo G Lott placed in the Flat Bed competition while another from Old Dominion Freight Lines took first in the Axle category. The competition allows drivers from all over the state to show off their driver skills.

9 out of all the competitors at the competition advance to the National Championship. Arlo G Lott sends drivers to the competition and is proud of their performance each year. Company officials tell us they take pride knowing their drivers are some of the safest on the roads.

Cole Prestwich with Arlo G Lott said, "We put a lot of work into being safe as a company and as an industry. This is just one way of showing the community that we're safe and we have very, very good drivers."

The National Championships take place in St. Louis Missouri this year. Drivers who go there will compete against the best of the best. Prestwich says it's exciting that Idaho has 9 drivers heading there to represent our state
