JEROME, Idaho (KLIX) Owners of private land known as the Devil's Corral are proposing a major development of the relatively untouched area in Jerome County.

In a news release sent by Bill Baker the owner of the property, George Panagiotou, announced plans for a major housing and country club/lodge project in an area popular with hikers, shooters, ATV riders and others.

The area is located northeast of Twin Falls along the Snake River Canyon Rim south of Interstate 84. The proposal calls for housing development with condos, single homes, and tiny lots, along 200 acre stretch with a lodge located down in the boxed canyon.

The proposal is to develop an ecotourism destination for an "eco-friendly outdoor adventure environment" according to a statement in the release by Don Campbell, Board of Director of Outdoor Activities. Parts of the property are surrounded by public land. Several springs are also located in and around the property.
