BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A 27-year-old man accused of rapes that occurred 2010 in Boise has been sentenced to 30 years in prison. After Andy Demostenes Gallegos' sentencing Tuesday, police announced that the man is also responsible for a series of prowling reports that occurred near the Boise State University campus last year. Gallegos pleaded guilty in June to rape and entered a no-contest plea to attempted rape. He will be eligible to seek parole in 20 years. Police say Gallegos is responsible for an attempted rape in a home on the north side of Boise in August 2010. Police say several weeks later a woman was raped in a home on the north side of the city.
