COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) — Coeur d'Alene police say a fugitive who barricaded himself in his ex-wife's home for hours has been found dead in the house.

Police say 37-year-old John David Crispin was found Sunday morning after an hours-long standoff with police. Police did not immediately say how Crispin died. The incident began Saturday night when Crispin's ex-wife left her home and told police he was inside her home, was armed and said he would not leave.

Officers set up a perimeter around the home. Police say Crispin fired at least one round from a weapon about 3:30 a.m. and officers returned fire. Police say Crispin is wanted by local and federal authorities on four warrants involving violent crimes.
