MURTAUGH, Id. (KMVT/KSVT) Police are investigating a one-vehicle accident that killed one man early Monday morning.

A 2006 black Jeep Commander left the roadway at about 2:43 a.m. traveling quite a ways, rolled and came to rest in a field near 1100 West on Highway 30. Thirty-year-old Juan Manuel Martinez-Hernandez of Murtaugh was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Police believe speed and alcohol were factors in the accident. Investigators believe others may have been in the vehicle and are investigating who the driver is. Witnesses or anyone with information about the accident are encouraged to contact Sgt. Taylor at 878-2251.
