Classic rock legend Meat Loaf was performing in Edmonton, Canada, last night (June 17) where he collapsed onstage during the set. Since being brought to the hospital, the theatrical entertainer has been confirmed to be in stable condition.

At roughly 9:30 PM local time, as reported by NY Daily News, the singer fell to the floor while performing one of his all-time hits, "I Would Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)." As seen in the video above, Meat Loaf is standing with a heavy lean to his right. After letting go of the microphone and letting the stand fall, he gently collapses on the floor, rolling over on his back.

Crew members immediately rush to the singer's aid, ultimately shutting down the show and asking the fans to clear the venue. Meat Loaf had recently canceled shows, including one earlier in the week (June 13) in Calgary. According to Consequence of Sound, a representative has confirmed he is in "stable and good condition."

The event comes at a startling time for classic rock fans, who have already endured a brutal first half of 2016 with the loss of so many icons including David Bowie, Prince, Keith Emerson, Glenn Frey and more.

Meat Loaf has recorded 12 studio albums, beginning with 1971's Stoney and Meatloaf. His biggest selling record, Bat Out of Hell, has been certified Diamond exceeding over 14 million sales in the U.S. and over 40 million worldwide. He is the father-in-law of Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian, who is married to Meat Loaf's daughter Pearl Aday.
