Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor Trailer: Meet Ratbag

Looks like your dark, Wraith-fueled adventures in Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor will include an orc sidekick. Meet the sniveling orc, Ratbag.

This trailer features a short look at the oddball orc, Ratbag, whom Talion teams up with to bring down a clan of orcs. In return for his assistance, Talion will help Ratbag realize his dream of becoming the next warchief. There's a lot of back-scratching going on here.

As you can see from the video, your actions will ultimately help shape Ratbag into the fearsome orc he deserves to be, rather than a wimpy, cowardly wreck who looks like he's on the bottom rung of the orc social ladder. Another thing the video showcases is the incredible voice-acting and facial animations. You can really tell that Troy Baker, as Talion, is truly vexed by his new companion and his inability to grasp the plan to turn him into the warchief.

Get ready for the mischief and ultraviolence when Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor launches on Sept. 30 for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
