We're going back to Fabletown and reading about the fight for Earthrealm as The Wolf Among Us and Mortal Kombat X are each getting their own comic series.

DC Entertainment has announced that Fables: The Wolf Among us and Mortal Kombat X are each getting their own series made by Vertigo, a subsidiary company of DC Comics. This was announced during Vertigo's panel at New York Comic Con 2014. These comics will be released online before their printed runs via DC Comic's Digital First program. Injustice: Gods Among Us and Batman Beyond 2.0 (McGinnis!) are already a part of Digital First.

Mortal Kombat X's comic will help act as a prequel to the game and help bridge the 25 year gap between the stories of MKX and 2011's MK9. Fables: The Wolf Among Us will be based directly on the Telltale Games series and is expected to follow most of the first season's events.

Fables: The Wolf Among Us and Mortal Kombat X will each be a weekly Digital First series, expected to debut online in December with their print versions to arrive in comic stores sometime in early 2015.

Hopefully the DC comic has some gnarly fatalities.
