The strange and mesmerizing PS Vita exclusive Murasaki Baby finally has a solid release date, thanks to a "meet the team" video shared by developer Ovosonico Studios on the PlayStation Blog. Luckily for us all, we don't have to wait too much longer.

In the blog entry, Ovosonico founder Massimo Guarini made the official announcement: Murasaki Baby comes to Vita on September 16 for $14.99, with PlayStation Plus members getting 20% off for the first week. In case you don't have a calendar, that's five days from now. Man, we love when surprise release dates are close by.

The video above is one of three dev diaries coming from Ovosonico about the development of Murasaki Baby, covering everything from the studio itself to behind-the-scenes info on the game. One of them is said to focus solely on the game's music, and based on the excellent music we've heard so far that's one we'll definitely have to watch.

We're not quite sure what to expect from Murasaki Baby outside of a unique and beautiful visual style and the aforementioned wonderful music, but whatever it is we're excited to get the chance to play it. Since the first trailer debuted at Gamescom 2013, we've been keeping an eye on it, and now our patience will soon be rewarded.

Murasaki Baby launches Sept. 16 for the PlayStation Vita.
