POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) — The Pocatello Zoo in eastern Idaho is asking the public to help name a grizzly bear. The 2-year-old female weighing about 200 pounds arrived last month after being caught in a culvert trap in Wyoming where she had become a problem bear.

The deadline to submit a potential name is Sunday. Names can be submitted at the Pocatello Zoo's Facebook page and by email at pocatellozoosociety@gmail.com. The zoo can also be contacted by phone at 208-234-6264. Zoo officials will select three finalist names for a vote.

A minimum $1 donation to the zoo is required to vote, with the winning name that receives the most donations announced Oct. 27. The Pocatello Zoo is an indigenous zoo, meaning it houses species native to the region. Many of its occupants are rehab animals or were causing problems in the wild.
