Nampa Child Nearly Drowns in Decorative Pond
NAMPA, Idaho (KTVB) -- A child was hospitalized after being pulled from a Nampa pond Tuesday night.
Emergency responders were called to a home in the 100 block of State Street at about 8:15 p.m. Police say a family member discovered the 4-year-old in a decorative pond in the home's backyard.
The child was pulled from the water, but was unresponsive, police say. The child was taken by ambulance to a local hospital in serious condition. The incident remains under investigation.
