BOISE, Idaho (KTVB) -- A 27-year-old Nampa man was arrested Thursday by Ada County Sheriff's detectives after they say he used Facebook to lure a 16-year-old girl and have illegal sexual contact with her.

Colin Slaughter was booked into the Ada County Jail on felony charges of sexual battery of a minor between the ages of 16 and 17 and use of a child in sexually exploitative material. An investigation was started last month after deputies were contacted by the girl's parent who discovered explicit messages from Slaughter on her Facebook Messenger app. Detectives say Slaughter contacted the girl over Facebook on Sept. 17 and identified himself as Christopher Lowe.

The conversation turned sexual in nature after the girl told Slaughter her age. The next night, detectives say Slaughter picked the girl up near her Kuna home and took her to a residence in Eagle, where they had illegal sexual contact. Slaughter was arrested outside his Boise-area workplace Thursday morning.

If convicted of the sexual battery charge, Slaughter could face up to 25 years in prison. He will be in court Friday. Detectives are looking for additional teenage victims. Anyone with information about the case should call Det. Ryan Pacheco at 208-577-3734.
