A new ‘Avengers 2’ trailer is coming in less than a week (airing on January 12 during the College Football National Championship on ESPN) and when it arrives we’ll start to know a little bit more about the very secretive plot. As a little tease before the new trailer, we have a new photo from the film that gives us some insight as to how the Avengers deal with Ultron’s nefarious plot.

As you can see above, the new ‘Avengers 2’ photo (via USA Today) shows us the profiles of Thor, Iron Man and Captain America. Fairly standard stuff, right? But, what is a little more interesting is where they are, and why. Some spoilers ahead…

Behind our two superheroes it looks awful rural. And, if you’ll remember back to mid-July when the first batch of ‘Avengers 2’ pics were released, there was a similar shot of Thor and Captain America in a setting that looked more Pier 1 than Stark Tower. That’s because the Avengers need to find a quiet and secluded place once Ultron starts ramping up his destruction.

As we found out last week, Ultron is a “computer program” and in the film he’s able to disappear into existing computer networks, not unlike a virus. As Ultron gets stronger and stronger, the Avengers need a place to hide that is completely unconnected from the outside world. No internet access, no Wi-Fi, no hot spots—nothing. So, they take refuge at the Burton family farm. Yup, that’s Hawkeye’s woodsy cabin. And, as it turns out, Ultron isn’t the only one they’re on the run from. Take this clip, for example:

As Cap and Tony chop wood (some more aggressively than others), they’re talking about the visions showed to them (no, not that Vision) by Scarlet Witch. There’s that shot in the trailer of Captain America’s shield ripped in half. That’s one of Tony’s visions. Everything they saw has left them shaken and disjointed. Consider this trip to the sticks as a chance to refresh and return ready to battle and loaded for bear.

We’ll have lots more to dig through when the ‘Avengers 2' trailer arrives online and we can properly sift through it with a fine-tooth comb. For now, you can get a larger look at the new photo below.

‘Avengers 2’ opens in theaters on May 1.
