The latest trailer for director Joss Whedon's Avengers sequel Avengers: Age Of Ultron has arrived, offering a few new glimpses of our heroes in action as they take on James Spader's tin-pot menace Ultron -- and each other. The highlight is an extended look at Iron Man's tussle with Hulk, with Tony Stark in the Hulkbuster armor. Also on display; lots of moody pouting, and a better look at Black Widow's sensational new 'do. So cute. Super cute.

The trailer offers a look at Captain America in action, and has moments spotlighting most of the core Avengers team, including undercover Nick Fury and his dashing beanie. There are also further hints that we'll get to see Black Widow's origin story -- remember the ballet dancers in the previous trailer? -- with a scene of a seemingly younger Natasha being taken into surgery.

Scarlet Witch only gets a brief moment of action, and Quicksilver is virtually unseen this time around. Also missing from the trailer: Paul Bettany as Vision. That may be a reveal that Marvel wants to hold on to for the movie. Given that humor plays a big part in Marvel's movies, it's striking that this trailer is almost completely humorless.

Andy Serkis' mystery character reappears, and we're still guessing that he's playing Ulysses Klaw, the most plausible villain for 2017's Black Panther movie starring Chadwick Boseman. A new mystery character also appears this time around; a woman stripping off in an illuminated cave, maybe short haired, maybe bald, maybe wearing a head-covering mask. Could this also be a Black Panther character? Could it be T'Challa's sister, Shuri?

The trailer debuted during ESPN’s College Football National Championship -- I don't know what those words mean -- and will appear in theaters in front of the Wachowski's Jupiter Ascending next month, in which Channing Tatum plays a pig-human-elf hybrid, in space.

The official synopsis for Avengers: Age of Ultron is as follows:

When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.

Avengers: Age Of Ultron opens in theaters on May 1.
