BOISE (KTVB) -- Alaska Airlines is adding a non-stop flight from Boise to Reno come this fall.

Horizon Air will start taking passengers on the 76-seat plane to and from Nevada on November 5.

"Nonstop air service to Reno is something our travelers have been craving for several years; we're excited that Alaska Airlines will be providing that direct link," said Boise Airport Director Rebecca Hupp. "Whether visiting for business or leisure I'm sure Treasure Valley residents will enjoy all Reno and Lake Tahoe have to offer."

Alaska Airlines will be offering introductory low fares for a limited time.

This is the second new route Alaska Airlines has announced this year for the Boise Airport.

The airline also added a non-stop flight to Spokane. Service on that flight will start in August.
