IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Law enforcement officials have released the names of the sheriff's deputies and police officers involved in the shooting of an Idaho Falls man.

The Post Register reports on Tuesday, Sheriff Paul Wilde named Bonneville County Sheriff's Office deputies Nick Contreras, Austin Flegel and trainee Chris Rix as all responding to the scene where 31-year-old Ricky L. Mosley was shot. Police officers Bart Whiting and Dan Godfrey responded as backup.

Sheriff's deputies were dispatched Monday morning after a report that a man had hit a pregnant woman.

Deputies stopped Mosley, who they thought was the suspect, in his vehicle. According to a news release, he was uncooperative and his actions led officers to fire their weapons.

The officers have been placed on paid administrative leave.

An investigation is ongoing.
