Olympic Gold Medalist Picabo Street Charged with Assault

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Olympic gold-medalist skier Picabo Street has been charged with assault and domestic violence after authorities say she got into a fight with her father at a home in Park City, Utah.

Seventy-six-year-old Roland Street told police that his daughter pushed him down two flights of stairs and locked him in the basement Dec. 23. Picabo says her father pulled her hair, but she's hoping that what she considers a private family matter can be resolved amicably.
