TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)- A portion of Eastland Drive in Twin Falls will be closed until the fall for road work.

According to information from the City of Twin Falls, Eastland Drive from Kimberly Road to Eldridge Avenue will be closed to traffic. The city says the closure will last until mid-September. Contractors will completely replace that section of roadway. The asphalt pavement will be torn out and replaced with concrete pavement, much like a section of Eastland Drive near Orchard Drive.

A detour will be in place for drivers who use that area of roadway. Drivers are encouraged to use Kimberly Road to Locust Avenue to Eldridge Avenue as an alternate. PMF, the contractor, will keep access to businesses during the construction according to the city.
