TWIN FALLS, Id. ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) A few changes are being made to the Main Avenue Project in Twin Falls. Instead of construction beginning early next year on the alley infrastructure, work will start on Main Avenue earlier than expected.

The change in schedule is due to unforeseen challenges that came across when planning the alley construction. The work on Main Avenue will start with two blocks from Shoshone to Fairfield. Work will begin on the street in the spring, and the city is hopeful it will be finished by the fall.

Economic Development Director Melinda Anderson explained, “we're going to instead start construction on Main Ave, which I'm really excited about because people will actually get to see some of the improvements in return for what they have to put up with during construction." Otak will be working with businesses downtown to keep customers in the loop. More information will be given out at an open house in October, at a date to be determined.
