PlayStation Exclusive Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes Collector’s Edition Unveiled

The Collector's Edition for Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes has just been announced, and it's going to be a PlayStation exclusive.

John Vignocchi, the executive producer of Disney Infinity, has just announced on the PlayStation Blog that the Collector's Edition for Marvel Super Heroes will only be available for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. This Collector's Edition will feature a huge Frost Giant Collector's Display for you to hold your figures. It will also include all of the additional Avengers characters that won't be packed with Marvel Super Heroes' Starter Pack (Captain America and Hawkeye). On top of this, Avalanche Software will be throwing in the Hulk figure, long before he hits store shelves.

Avalanche originally thought of some sort of carrying case, but they decided that having all the Avengers stand in a diorama would be much grander. The pedestals where you place each figure can light up for a nighttime display.

Avalanche Software also announced that there will be a special 12GB PlayStation 3 bundle containing Marvel Super Heroes for $249.99. Unfortunately, there has yet to be any sort of price announced for the Collector's Edition.

Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes is putting on their costumes for a Sept. 23 release for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
