Police Arrest Mountain Home Woman for Child Abuse

MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho (KLIX) – Police arrested a 24-year-old woman and one juvenile for child abuse Wednesday morning at an apartment complex in Mountain Home.

Nicole Christiansen and a 17-year-old were arrested for injury to a child, a felony.

Mountain Home Police responded about 10 a.m. to a call of possible child abuse at a residence at the Desert Manor apartment complex, and after arriving found that the 18-month-old child had severe bruising and swelling on the face, forehead, head and back. The child was taken by ambulance to St. Luke’s Elmore Medical Center.

After police investigated the incident, they called Child Protective Services, in whose care the child was placed.
