TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – If you plan to celebrate the Fourth of July with fireworks, the Twin Falls Police Departments is reminding residents that you can light them only between certain time periods and days.

Non-aerial common fireworks are permitted with the city between 8 a.m. and midnight June 23-July 5, according to information from the police department. If you light fireworks outside of these dates and times, or possess fireworks other than “safe and sane” non-aerial common items, you could face a $156.50 fine; illegal fireworks will be confiscated.

The same applies if you plan to light up the New Year: safe, common non-aerial fireworks may be used only between 8 a.m. and midnight Dec. 26-Jan. 1.
