UPDATE: Jerome Sheriff Doug McFall tells News Radio 1310 that the man found by a passerby underneath the north side of the Perrine Bridge on Tuesday is believed to have committed suicide. 

There was no ID on the man, who appeared to be in his 70s, McFall said. Authorities are searching for the man's vehicle. A firearm was found at the scene.

McFall said the body was found around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.


JEROME, Idaho (KLIX) – Law enforcement currently is investigating the death of a man found this morning under the Perrine Bridge.

Dispatch received a call at 9:09 a.m. Tuesday that a body was under the bridge, a dispatcher told News Radio 1310.
