On Nov. 27, Believe Digital will release Wake Up!, an album comprised of speeches by Pope Francis set to music. You can listen to the prog-influenced lead track, "Wake Up! Go! Go! Forward," below.

Before you think this is some kind of joke, keep in mind that there is a website set up for it and a link to pre-order the record at iTunes. And according to Rolling Stone, the 12 cuts feature the pope speaking in four languages (English, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese) and talking about peace, dignity, the environment and helping the needy.

For the music, Don Giulio Neroni gave the speeches proper musical settings. "For many years, I've been the producer and the artistic director of albums by the pope," Neroni said. "I had the honor to work with John Paul II, Benedict XVI and now Pope Francis. As in the past, for this album too I tried to be strongly faithful to the pastoral and personality of Pope Francis: the pope of dialogue, open doors, hospitality. For this reason, the voice of Pope Francis in Wake Up! dialogues music. And contemporary music (rock, pop, Latin, etc.) dialogues with the Christian tradition of sacred hymns."

Neroni hired Tony Pagliuca, who played keyboards for the Venetian prog-rock band Le Orme (Italian for "The Footprints") from 1967-1992, to compose the music for "Wake Up! Go! Go! Forward." Pagliuca said of the challenge, "Putting my music in the service of the words and the voice of Pope Francis has been a fantastic experience and a very interesting artistic challenge." Other tracks on the album feature music ranging from modern pop to Gregorian chants.

Pope Francis gave the "Wake Up! Go! Go! Forward" speech in South Korea last year. It's the only English-language track on the album, and he urges the audience to "Wake up / Wake up / The Lord speaks of a responsibility that the Lord gives you / It is a duty to be vigilant / Not to allow the pressures, the temptations and the sins to dull our sensibility of the beauty of holiness."
