Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV/KSVT-TV) - Idaho Power crews have restore power for a portion of Twin Falls after an outage today.

UPDATE (Jan. 7 @ 15:04) Captain Craig Stotts with the Twin Falls Police Department said that police secured two areas as crews worked to make repairs. One location is Buena Vista and Commercial Avenues and the second location is 2nd East and Main off of Murtaugh Avenue. Kevin Winslow with Idaho Power said that the falling lines were the result of a semi truck accidently striking a guy wire near the Livestock Commission yard.

Idaho Power crews reported that four feeders were off affecting 4,379 Customers. The areas include Highland to 2900 North, 2700 East to 3450 East. Also, Highland Avenue To 4225 North and Eastland to 3300 East. Next Shoshone Street and Blue Lakes Blvd, 7th North avenue and Minidoka Avenue, Eastland Drive and Kimberly road to 6th Avenue East. Also customers on Eastland Drive on Wright Street are without power.

Idaho Power officials remind residents that if they see a downed power line not to go near it and to call 911 to report it.
