KETCHUM, Idaho (KLIX) – The suspect of an alleged sexual assault is scheduled for a preliminary hearing later this month.

Nicholas Mikhail Hilton Ward, 24, of Ketchum appeared in Magistrate Court of Blaine County on Monday on a sexual assault charge, forcible penetration with a foreign object. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 16.

According to the Ketchum Police Department, officers were dispatched on March 7 to St. Luke’s Wood River Medical Center, where it was reported that a 25-year-old woman was possibly raped. The victim told officers that she was sexually assaulted in the downstairs room of a local bar a short time earlier that day.

The suspect was identified as Ward. He was an employee of Whiskey Jacque’s, where the incident occurred, according to police, but was not working at the time of the incident.
