Report Finds Many People Driving Illegally In Twin Falls County

Warrant documents released by the Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office this week reveal that a great deal of drivers in the county are doing so illegally.

Of the 584 active county warrants, 21% are for individuals that were cited for driving without privileges (DWP). This means these motorists were driving with revoked, suspended, or disqualified licenses, according to section 18-8001.

The updated county warrant summary from October 11, 2018, shows more than 120 drivers license related offenses throughout the 41 page report. This information is available to the public daily on the county warrants and arrests page.

Driving without privileges in Idaho can result in a jail sentence of up to one year, depending on the number of offenses. It can also result in the suspension of a drivers license for up to a year as well, according to information by Peterson Law Offices.
