Resident Evil Revelations 2: Survival Horror Gets Episodic
Capcom has officially announced Resident Evil Revelations 2 and let us in on some of the chilling features going into Claire Redfield's next survival horror game.
Gaming's premier zombie and fighting game maker, Capcom, has confirmed our previous reports of Resident Evil Revelations 2 starring Claire Redfield and Moira Burton. Based on a recent post on the official Resident Evil Facebook page, we have got some spiffy, HD versions of those leaked photos we originally reported, as well as some new details with regard to Revelations 2's release.
Resident Evil Revelations 2 will be released in the form of weekly episodes. There will be four episodes total, with each one being a few hours long and featuring a dramatic, cliffhanger ending. While some of you are groaning at this concept, we must remind our readers that the first Revelations was presented in the same way -- TV episode-like chapters with a recap during each intro and a crazy ending every time.
Players can digitally buy the full, complete season to make sure they get each episode as it debuts. Following the final episode's release, a physical disc version will launch for retail stores. Buying the disc version or the complete season will net you bonus game content, which Capcom will announce over time.
Resident Evil Revelations 2 will start releasing its episodes in early 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. The episodes will be priced at $5.99 each, but buying the digital complete season will cost $24.99 total with its physical counterpart expected to have a similar price.
